Merry Christmas one and all. My last decorated cake of the year and my last decorated cake. 15 years job done. Happy to supply cakes, cream teas and of course my brownies to you all. You know where to come for a dark rich chocolate cake or spicy carrot cake! It’s been a blast and I’m now enjoying having my Saturday’s back and no Countrywide Wedding Cake deliveries. A customer wanted some treats to take with her when she collected her Dad from his care home for the day.
They were headed into Cornwall for fish and chips. Somewhere they could sit in the car and admire the view.
She was taking tea and coffee in a flask and asked if I could supply anything for her to take.
Here are her cheese flapjacks incase he did not fancy the fish and chips, fruit slice and some slices Simnel cake - it’s not just for Easter…..and you can never have enough variations on a fruit cake.

Did you know that you can take our cakes on holiday??

One large light fruit cake fresh out of the oven.

It will cool and then get wrapped up ready to be collected by a family on their way to Dartmoor for the week in a holiday cottage.

They opted for a light fruit cake so it did not have to mature due to last minute arrangements and wanted one to feed 16 people.

Fruit cake and a cuppa after a long hike on the moors - is there anything better? Tea and fruitcake on the moor!
