Delivery and T&Cs
Delivery
We use Royal Mail to send your brownies across the UK. They are baked and posted Monday to Friday.
Order before 3pm and your brownies can be despatched the next day if preferred.
Choose from two delivery options below:
Free First Class Post
Your brownies should arrive between 1 to 2 days after despatch. Your brownies can fit through a standard letterbox and do not require a signature.
We cannot guarantee the actual delivery date because this will depend on Royal Mail.
Next Day Special Delivery
- £5.50 for Tuesday to Friday delivery
- £10.50 for Saturday delivery
Your delivery is guaranteed before 1pm the day after sending.
Special Delivery parcels require a signature and cannot be put through your letterbox.
We only accept orders for delivery within the UK through the website.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel your order please get in touch with us as soon as possible, we cannot give refunds if costs have been incurred.
Complaints
In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with your brownies, let us know immediately and we will give you a full refund.
CAKE BOOKINGS
Booking fee:
A booking fee of 25% is required to confirm your order with us.
Balance payment:
All balance payments are due 4 weeks prior to your event. If full payment is not received your cake maybe cancelled.
Refunds/Cancellations:
The 25% booking fee is non refundable due to the time already spent with you in Consultation and any loss of business that your booking prevented us in taking.
If you change your date it maybe transferred over at our discretion.
Any cancellations made within 4 weeks of your event will required full payment to be made.
Should we have to cancel the booking for any reason then a full refund will be given of any monies received.
We do not make any refunds due to a change of mind.
Allergies/Dietary requirements:
Please not our kitchen is NOT a gluten or nut free kitchen. It is your responsibility to discuss any requirements and allergies with us during the consultation process. Allergen information is provided in writing on your cake box if collecting or to the person who takes responsibility of your cake at the venue.
Collection:
Once you have collected the cake from our workshop we no longer accept any responsibility or liability for any damage to the cake or part thereof. Please ensure you discuss this with us, ensure your vehicle is clean and allow space in a secure part of your car for transportation. We will use our best endeavours to provide you with a cake that is secure and well structured in preparation for the journey however please not that by their nature cakes are fragile and you will need to ensure you drive slowly and carefully. Please do not call left your cake with animals in the car or place the cake next to children!
Delivery:
Delivery and set up at the venue of your choice is included in your final quoted price. Once we have delivered and set up the cake we will take photographs and we will no longer take responsibility for the cake. It is good practise for you to ensure that you choose and responsible person to be present on the day to take on the responsibility for your cake and we will need to see then to ‘handover’ before we leave the cake. Please do not select a person from the main wedding party.
The cake will be set up at a time of day to allow for other commitments – you will be notified of the time time the cake will be at the venue by. Should the cake need to be at the venue for a different time then there maybe an additional charge.
Should your venue change there maybe an additional charge.
We will make our best endeavours to ensure that your cakes are delivered in plenty of time for a handover – should circumstances beyond our control prevent this ie traffic or a breakdown we do ask for your patience and it is best practise to supply us with the telephone number of your responsible person incase of an emergency and please ensure they will have their phone on and volume turned up if it is an outside venue.
Cake set up:
It is your responsibility to ensure that the venue provides a secure position for the cake and that the table for the cake that is suitable to take the size and weight of the cake.
Should the cake be required for a location outside or within a marquee we will not be liable for cakes once they have been delivered or picked up. We will advise you through the cake consultation as to what is suitable for your event but please note during hot or inclement weather cakes can deform or melt, sugar absorbs water so icing may become shiny and sugar flowers will collapse and break.
Design:
It is your responsibility to read the quote and notify us of any errors or changes immediately in writing. Changes to your design will be considered and made, if time allows. If elements of your cake have been made that are no longer required please be aware that extra costs will be incurred.
At anytime we reserve the right to make amendments to your design if circumstances are beyond our control – ie the temperature or weather if these will compromise the final cake.
All cakes are individually made, by hand by their nature there is always some variation.
Non Edible decorations:
If your cake contains non edible elements eg:dowels, ribbon, wires, toothpicks, posy picks, flower tape and fresh flowers, we will advise you of such in the consultation and handover process. It is your responsibility to ensure all of these are removed prior to serving your guests.
It is your responsibility to advise your florist or flower provider if the flowers they are suppling you with are to go on the cake. It will then be their responsibility to ensure what they are supplying for us to use are non toxic.
Cake serving:
We can, if asked provide a cutting guide to assist you or your Caterer with serving. All cakes are hand made using only natural ingredients, with no additives or preservative. They are prepared to be eaten on the day of the event – we will not accept any liability for cakes eaten after 48 hours of your event.
Complaints:
We must be notified of any concerns or complaints either on collection or delivery/handover.
Any other concerns should be made in writing with evidence of any fault included.
A refund will only be issued if uneaten cakes are returned and are unsuitable for consumption or not as described in our written quote.
